Social Responsibility

Responsible Tourism policy.

The enterprises that form Portugal Outdoor Alliance promote actively their social and environmental responsibility. POA has a fund for environmental or social causes, to which reverts a percentage of each company’s profit.

Considering the members of Portugal Outdoor Alliance have a goal of implementing a Responsible Tourism policy, by committing annually to allocate financial resources to social responsibility projects in the local communities visited by tourists, cooperating with local associations and village communities, establishing partnerships and protecting the trails, it is time to request that the contributors of the affiliated companies make project proposals to be supported in 2019.

It is thus open a contest of ideas and projects to be supported, according to the following criteria and relevance:

- Social and human component;

- Environmental component (Diminishing of the ecological footprint);

- Occurrence in geographical areas used by our trips that are disadvantaged in terms of socio-economic development.
