  1. Day1 Arrival to Faro

    Arrival to Faro Airport and transfer to Sagres Hotel. We will deliver you a bike and give you a short briefing by an A2Z Guide, including detailed information, route notes, maps and GPS tracks. Once installed in your room, make some time to enjoy the south-westerly tip of mainland Europe with its wind-blasted headland. From this end of the world corner, appreciated by its wilderness, striking cliffs and vast beaches you can explore Cabo Sao Vicente and Fortaleza de Sagres fort. Sagres region is also considered as a paradise for surf & windsurf lovers, with unique geographical features that provide world-class waves for all levels.

  2. Day2 Cycling Tour 1: Sagres | Lagos (45 km)

    Leave Sagres in the morning and cycle along the most famous beaches of western Algarve coastline tempered by its crystal clear waters. Once in Lagos, you don’t want to miss the fascinating cliff formations of Ponta da Piedade chiseled by the Atlantic Ocean. Relax and enjoy some time at Meia- Praia or Praia Dona Ana´s beach.

  3. Day3 Cycling Tour 2: Lagos | Albufeira (60 km)

    This route will take through quiet countryside, along with pleasant country lanes to the coast. We highlight the Salgados Lagoon, where you should see a variety of bird life, being inhabited by more than 160 bird species throughout the year. You will continue through boardwalks as you go east, with delightful views down to some great beaches. Once at Albufeira, you´ll find theAlgarve’s most popular tourist destination for those who prefer some entertaining with great restaurants and lively nightlife. Explore the Old Town with its steep hills and great amazing sea views.

  4. Day4 Cycling Tour 3: Albufeira | Vilamoura | Faro (45 km)

    As you take this route you will ride along some of the most developed golf courses of the Algarve. You´ll pass prestigious golf resorts and Vilamoura, with its marina full of luxury yachts and a good selection of cafes, bars, and restaurants. Once in Faro, the capital of the Algarve, ride around the charming cobblestone streets and see the Arc da Vila.

  5. Day5 Cycling Tour 4: Faro | Tavira (45 km)

    Leaving Faro you´ll cycle through the unspoiled coastal countryside and quaint fishing villages to your next destination, Tavira. As you ride the natural park of Ria Formosa and its wonderful colors, discover why it was elected one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal with its abundant wildlife. Last stop of the day is Tavira, a town sometimes called the ’Venice of the Algarve’ after its location that straddles the River Gilão. Rich in history, you will find Roman bridges, Renaissance churches, and historical monuments.

  6. Day6 Cycling Tour 5: Tavira | Monte Gordo (47 km)

    In the last, day enjoy this easy-rolling route through the villages of Cabanas and Cacela Velha, where a stop is recommended to admire one of the best views over Ria Formosa. Before you reach your last stop, take some time to savor Praia Verde, a lovely beach surrounded by a delightful green scenario, composed by a line of trees and bushes, that line the land side of the broad endless beach. The journey ends at Vila Real de Santo António, where there are the warmest waters of mainland Portugal.
